As the GroupBy Organizing Committee, we want to ensure a fair vote on the topics presented at our conferences. We know you love some of our popular speakers—we do too. But it’s important for us to give new and lesser-known speakers an opportunity to present on equal footing.
With that in mind, we’re making a teensy change to the voting process.
GroupBy will no longer be listing speaker names with their sessions during the voting process.
We hope that removing speaker names will remove any voting bias and ensure genuine interest in the session.
After all, it’s our mission to deliver to you guys genuine value at our conferences.
…Speaking of sessions, we currently have 150 to vote on, all spanning across great topics like:
- Power Platform (Power BI, DAX, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Machine Learning and AI
- Performance tuning
- Professional development / Diversity, Equality & Inclusion
- Database administration and maintenance
- Devops
- ETL and Data Warehousing (ADF, Data Lakes, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks)
Like before, voting will be separated into GroupBy: Americas and GroupBy: Europe. You can vote for as many sessions as you like across any of the above topics, and we encourage you to vote for your favourite sessions across both days of content.
As always, we thank you for your support of GroupBy. We can’t wait to see you all on Oct.26-27!
PS: Speakers, ALWAYS feel free to post about your session on social, your blog, or yell from the rooftops that you want to present at GroupBy. Just make sure you tell people to vote for your session title, not to look for your name!
